Chawlichi Usal | Black-eyed peas Sabji recipe

Chawlichi Usal Cow peas Sabji

Ingredients:
 1 Cup Black-eyed peas (Chawli)
 1 medium potato
 1/2 Medium onion
 1 Medium tomato
 8-10 Curry leaves
 2 Tbsp oil
 1 Tsp Turmeric
 1 Tsp chilli powder
 2 Cup water
 2 Tsp Salt
For grind masala:
 1 Cup grated coconut
 1/2 Medium onion
 3-5 Curry leaves
 1/2 Cup water

Instructions:

Soaked the Black-eyed peas in water to the overnight ( 4 to 5 hours)

Add 1 cup of water, add soaked Black-eyed peas in the pan and 1 Tsp salt and cook 5 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion, curry leaves and grated coconut. Fry till it becomes light brown.

When the mixture has cool, then add in a mixer jar. add a ½ cup of water. and grind a mixture.

Grind smooth paste and keep aside.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add curry leaves and chopped onion, stir it well. saute until onion becomes soft.

Add turmeric powder and chilli powder mix it well.

Add 1/2 cup water, add 1 tsp salt, and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
